Webuild is looking for a Design/Project Engineer to join the project start-up team based in Rome, with a focus on projects in Saudi Arabia.

Initially,the candidate will be dedicated to the Riyadh Metro Line 7 initiative, working alongside the Technical Coordinator.

He/she will manage the design consultants engaged for all project disciplines. This will include overall liaison with the consultant team, scheduling and reviewing design progress, managing design interfaces, handling document management, and overseeing the commercial management of the design team related to the scope of work in compliance with the construction works schedule.

Responsibilities:
•Ensure compliance in respect of QHSE programs;
•Work/Coordinate with multi-disciplinary design and construction teams;
•Manage RFI and Design drawing production;
•Ensure compliance with project agreement and PSOS;
•Undertake technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations;
•Ensure compliance with the standards of construction designs, plans, and specifications;
•Ensure that the plans meet the guidelines, the requirements of building codes, and other regulations;
•Identify contract document conflicts and recommend solutions;
•Assist the Technical Director;
•Prepare all the reports required to fulfill project requirements;
•Perform all other related tasks that will help complete the project.

Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering
•Excellent English knowledge, both written and spoken;
•At least 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar capacity;
•Experience in the infrastructure sector, preferably with a background in working with structured engineering firms
•Good initiative and attention to detail;
•Ability to work in a team environment;
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
•Excellent MS Excel and MS Word skills, AutoCAD;
•Available to travel to Saudi Arabia.
