As the TES Construction Manager, you are a customer-obsessed leader in the Amazon construction process.

You will be responsible for implementing facility network infrastructure, including sortation centers, delivery stations, and auxiliary buildings supporting those facilities. Projects include new builds, retrofits, and expansions.

Your duties include reviewing job budgets and schedules to identify and resolve discrepancies, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication.

Key competencies include maintaining high standards, ensuring resource delivery, coaching teams, influencing stakeholders, and managing multiple projects across various locations.

This role combines construction, engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management.

It offers opportunities to travel and work in multiple countries and cultures. The position is based in Italy, with 50% travel within EMEA.

Key job responsibilities

  • Supervise Amazon’s safety programs and standards
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ensure the skills of contract labor are appropriate
  • Operate independently within the region
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Construction for the TES Team
  • Forecast budgets and schedules, advising stakeholders on impacts
  • Identify and resolve factors impeding project hand-over
  • Coordinate with local authorities for regulatory compliance
  • Maintain comprehensive communication with stakeholders

Daily tasks include site management, ensuring contractual obligations, seeking sustainable solutions, updating systems, negotiating contracts, and participating in meetings.

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
  • Experience in Facilities Management or similar roles

  • German, French, Polish, Arabic, and Turkish language skills are preferred
