Job summary

Alpinestars is seeking a Demand Planner to join the Demand Planning Team in Asolo, Italy. You will build, lead, and optimise the demand planning process for multiple lines, aligning forecasts with supply, production, and inventory objectives to ensure product availability while minimising risk.

Responsibilities include 6–12 month rolling forecasts, consolidating inputs from sales and markets, analyzing trends, and tracking Go-Live readiness for new products.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2–4 years' experience in a similar position, ideally within Sporting Goods Manufacturing and/or Textile Manufacturing.
• Strong data analysis and KPI development skills, with trend analysis and root-cause investigation ability.
• Knowledge of planning, forecasting, production scheduling, and phase-in/phase-out management.
• Experience with ERP systems, SO99+, AS400, and Qlik BI tools; advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, lookups, macros).
• Fluency in English; ability to work in an English-speaking environment.

Position

We are currently looking for a Demand Planner to join the Demand Planning Team based in Asolo. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building, leading and optimising the demand planning process for one or more business lines, developing accurate demand forecasts to support supply chain, production, and inventory planning. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align demand plans with business objectives and ensure optimal product availability while minimizing inventory risks, to meet customers’ demand.

Forecast & Demand Analysis

• You will build and manage 6 - 12 month rolling forecasts across all product categories, including special editions, OEM lines and collections.
• You will consolidate input from sales, markets and key accounts to capture trends, upcoming launches and campaigns.
• You will analyse historical sales as well as market trends to refine your forecast accuracy, as well as identifying deviations and proposing alternative solutions.
• Moreover, you will also contribute to new-product introduction checkpoints (such as tracking go-live dates, sample availability etc)
• Monitor forecast accuracy (e.g. Forecast Error, Bias) and propose corrective actions

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with Supply Planning, Procurement, and Operations to ensure demand plans are feasible and aligned with supply constraints
• Identify risks and opportunities related to demand changes and proactively communicate them to stakeholders

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 - 4 years' experience in a similar position, ideally within a Sporting Goods Manufacturing and/or Textile Manufacturing company.
• Excellent skills on Data Analysis, KPI definition, trend analysis skills as well as root-cause investigation.
• In-depth knowledge of planning principles, forecasting techniques, production scheduling, as well as phase-in / phase-out management.
• Previous experience with ERP systems, SO99+, AS400, QlikView / Qlik Sense BI as well as advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic macros).
• Fluency in English - Comfortable with working in a fully English speaking environment.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, business acumen, along with solid collaboration skills, top time management and prioritisation, as well as the ability to adapt to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment complete the profile.
