DCS Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor theDistributed Control System (DCS)to control and optimize waste combustion, steam production, and energy recovery processes.

• Respond to system alarms and upsets, and take timely corrective actions to maintain safe plant operation.

• Coordinate with field operators, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure optimal process performance.

• Record and report operational data, incidents, and routine shift logs.

• Support plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency response procedures.

• Ensure strict compliance with environmental and safety standards specific to WTE operations.

Assignment Details

• Location:Gdańsk, Poland

• Start Date:End of April (indicative)

• Duration:Approximately 6 months

• Work Schedule:Full-time, site-based

Requirements

• Experience operating DCS systems inpower plants, WTE facilities, or industrial thermal processing plants.

• Solid understanding of thermal and energy recovery processes, preferably with background in combustion systems.

• Familiarity with emissions control, waste feed systems, and steam turbine operation is highly desirable.

• Strong safety mindset and working knowledge of HSE regulations.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency inEnglish (minimum B2 – CEFR); other languages are an advantage.

• Availability from the end of April or shortly after.
