ABB is seeking a Program Manager/Power Systems Architect to lead the shift from AC to Direct Current data center architectures. You will design end-to-end power systems, develop DC protection schemes, and collaborate across ABB teams and customers to deliver innovative, scalable solutions.

The role requires a strong technical background, 5+ years in power system design, and willingness to travel internationally, including to the United States.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in power system design, consulting, or solution architecture.
• Strong background in data center power systems, or exposure to Direct Current power solutions.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, high-impact technical solutions.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, including switchgear, transformers, protection, control systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally, particularly to the United States.
• Strong Cross-cultural awareness.
• Fluent English (mandatory).

Mansioni

• Collaborate with ABB data center teams to support transition to Direct Current data center architectures.
• Design end-to-end electrical power system solutions for data centers.
• Design DC protection and control schemes, including sequence of operation.
• Develop power system studies with ABB R&D to support projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to specify products and identify gaps.
• Support pilot projects with complete technical solutions and documentation.
• Define LVDC test plans and setups to validate solutions.
• Contribute to thought leadership on Direct Current power architectures.
