Allianz Technology, headquartered in Munich, is seeking a DBA Engineer to manage DB2 Linux databases in a hybrid work model in Italy. You will install, configure, and optimize DB2 instances, ensure high availability, and support migrations and performance tuning in Linux environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement releases, and automate repetitive tasks with Bash scripts. A background in AI basics is a plus, and optional Pacemaker/HADR experience is welcome.

Competenze

• Minimum 4 years as a DB2 Linux DBA in similar environments.
• Strong skills in database management, performance analysis and optimization.
• Experience with HADR and Pacemaker (optional).
• Proficiency in Linux OS, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Ability to create automation scripts using bash (Perl optional).
• Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies and their practical use.

About the Job

As a DBA Engineer at Allianz Technology, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing our DB2 Linux database environments. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the high performance, availability, and security of our databases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects, playing a key role in the success of our database operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What You Do

• Perform installation, configuration, and updates of DB2 instances on Linux environments.
• Create, modify, and operate DB2 Linux databases, including data migrations and performance analysis.
• Utilize tools and utilities in the DB environment such as load, runstats, and reorg.
• Support projects from data modeling to technical implementation in test databases and deployment in the productive database.
• Import ABS core software delivery and set up and operate development, test, integration, and production environments.
• Analyze and understand business requirements related to the specific business area and coordinate customer requirements.
• Implement release changes, including necessary off-hours availability based on Allianz's release schemes and procedures.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize and tune SQL queries.
• Perform HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery) and optionally use Pacemaker.
• Engage in cloning activities for databases and utilize monitoring tools like IBM Data Server Manager (optional).
• Demonstrate proficiency in Linux OS, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and create scripts to automate activities using bash scripting and optionally Perl.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a DB2 Linux DBA in similar environments.
• Strong skills in database management, performance analysis, and optimization.
• Experience with HADR and Pacemaker (optional).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and cloning activities for databases.
• Proficiency in Linux OS, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

• Optional knowledge of Microfocus and JCL for mainframe operations.
• Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
