Important note :

This position involves on-shift rotation including standby (which is paid additionally). The candidate must have a valid driving license and the ability to transport themselves using their own car around the Milan area (work-related travel may be reimbursed).

Desired skills :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• Recent graduates with demonstrable interest and knowledge are encouraged to apply; gap year students are also considered
• Experience in IT infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200-1000+ servers)
• Experience with data center M&E equipment
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a drive to understand system details
• Experience in mission-critical operations environments
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in confined spaces or elevated locations
• Effective communication skills in virtual environments
• Strong adherence to processes and being a process champion
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience in client-facing support and service
• Ability to work independently and in remote cross-functional teams

Preferred Data Center experience :

• Knowledge of data center design, including electrical and cooling systems
• Airflow management skills
• Experience with rack and equipment commissioning
• Structured cabling expertise with fiber and copper

Systems & Hardware expertise :

• Systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers)
• Hardware repair and diagnosis
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, troubleshooting)
• IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, x86 architecture, SCSI, FC, Ethernet, iLO)
• Basic OS installation and configuration
• Core OS services such as SSH, Telnet, RDP, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP
