A leading global cloud service provider is seeking a Data Centre Technician in Italy to maintain and enhance cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware issues, ensuring peak data center performance, and supporting engineering teams. Preferred candidates are recent graduates or those with experience in IT infrastructure, server administration, and who can demonstrate problem-solving skills. Important note : This position involves
on-shift rotation, including standby (paid additionally). A valid driving license and the ability to transport by own car around Milan are required (work-related travel may be compensated).
Key requirements include understanding how computers work internally, experience/knowledge in networking and cabling, and a willingness to learn.
Experience with Data Centers and a degree are welcome but not necessary. This role offers a good opportunity for career advancement or transitioning into a different field.

Desired skills : Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. Recent graduates, gap year students, and those demonstrating interest and knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Experience in IT Infrastructure support, server administration in a mid-sized environment (200-1000+ servers), and data center M&E equipment is valued. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, experience in mission-critical environments, and physical ability to lift up to 25 kg are required. Good communication skills in English, ability to work remotely and independently, and adherence to processes are essential.
Preferred data center experience includes knowledge of design, electrical and cooling systems, airflow management, and cabling skills. Systems & hardware expertise such as Linux/Windows server administration, hardware repair, networking fundamentals, and OS configuration are also welcome.
