About the Role: As a member of the DC Operations team and reporting to the Datacenter Manager, the DC IT/RUN maintenance Technician ensures the proper functioning of the data center infrastructure by securing equipment installation and maintenance, which guarantees the equipment’s continuity of service. The role requires working on-call on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to datacenter systems architecture and provide 1st level support
  • Optimize racks for new servers
  • Connect power and network cables within server and network racks
  • Wire incoming cables and networks within racks according to wiring schemes
  • Install or uninstall servers as directed by the DC Team Leader and operational plans
  • Assemble and install computer hardware, including upgrading and updating servers
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and standards
  • Escalate incident tickets to Level 2 support when necessary
  • Respond to monitoring alerts or customer tickets by performing interventions on equipment
  • Upgrade servers by replacing obsolete components
  • Perform curative maintenance on delivered servers
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to networks and servers
  • Maintain cabling systems
  • Replace failed networking devices within racks
  • Implement solutions to resolve server environment issues
  • Monitor and analyze server performance to ensure proper functioning
  • Use appropriate tools and keep asset databases updated, including stock, assets, and status
  • Assist team members with maintenance tasks within the data center
  • Coordinate activities with all 24/7 teams and help improve customer relations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department, aligned with quality management standards
  • Maintain good customer relations and ensure customer satisfaction daily
  • Share information among maintenance agents and report to the Team Leader
  • Follow schedules and targets set by the Team Leader

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent in electronics, IT, or maintenance
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience building and maintaining computers
