The successful candidate should be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Pistoia, Genova, Piossasco, Tito, or Reggio Calabria.

Accountabilities

Technical Skills

• Programming (e.g., Matlab, R, Python, SAS, Scala, Octave)
• Knowledge of C / C++, Java languages
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Meridian, Qlik, PowerBI)
• Ability to select appropriate algorithms and develop models
• Writing high-quality code
• Knowledge of Big Data frameworks like Spark and Hadoop
• Knowledge in AI and IoT
• Optimization techniques (Linear, Convex, etc.)
• Supervised learning (Random Forest, Tree, Gradient Boosting, etc.)
• Operations research / Network optimization
• Monte Carlo simulation and stochastic optimization
• Sampling and hypothesis testing
• Dimensionality reduction (PCA, IFA, etc.)
• Natural Language Processing
• Text mining and social network analysis
• Ability to work with key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and models translating customer data into strategic insights
• Learning agility
• Ability to foster innovation by identifying new analytics trends and opportunities

Required Skills / Knowledge

• PhD or Master’s Degree in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or other data-centric disciplines, with 2-5 years of relevant industry experience in advanced analytics solutions (preferred).
• Strong record of extracurricular activity, professional achievement, and leadership
• Experience with core analytics methods such as predictive modeling, customer segmentation/clustering, network analysis, supply chain optimization, etc.
• Fluency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R)

Languages

Fluency in Italian and English is required
