Job summary

Prima, the Italian data-driven motor insurance leader, is seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to define the data product strategy for Italy and ensure data is accessible and actionable for business leaders, analysts, PMs, and data science teams.

You will partner with the Data Engineering Manager and Data Platform teams to align data products with company standards, balancing stakeholder needs with scalable, reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Product/Data Management in data-intensive environments.
• Analytical mindset with focus on metrics, data quality and model performance.
• Strategic coordination across stakeholders and engineering.
• Technical fluency with data analysis, APIs, data pipelines, ML workflows.

To help fuel that growth, we need a Senior Data Product Manager to help us define the future of how data is collected, transformed and exposed across our Italian business.

Partnering closely with the Data Engineering Manager and Data Platform teams, you will curate and drive our data product strategy for Italy, ensuring that data across the Italian operations is accessible and actionable for business leaders, data analysts, fellow Product Managers, and our Data Science teams, all while respecting our company Data standards.

What you’ll do

• Define the Country Data Strategy: Lead the data product vision and roadmap for the Italian business
• Bridge Stakeholders & Tech: Act as the primary interface between data consumers (Data Scientists, Business Analysts, ...), and Engineering to ensure data products are scalable, reliable, and aligned with company goals
• Own the Data Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end process of data product development, from initial discovery and modelling to monitoring performance and impact
• Drive Data Product discoverability and self-serving: support self-serving of data products, by continuously improving the tools (e.g., data catalog, data dictionary), and the data product consumer orientation
• Manage data quality + change: define quality checks, monitoring, and alerting, communicate breaking changes proactively
• Foster a Data Culture: Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights, ensuring that every product decision is backed by solid data evidence

What we’re looking for

• Proven Experience: You have a strong background in Product/Data Management, specifically within data-intensive environments or technical product domains
• Analytical Mindset: You are "data-native." You think in terms of metrics, data quality, and model performance, and you know how to measure the success of a data product
• Strategic Coordination: You excel at managing complex dependencies and demanding stakeholders. You can align with an infrastructure peer on technical constraints while keeping business stakeholders focused on the value proposition
• Technical Fluency: Previous experience in a technical hands‑on role such as Data Analysis, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Software Developer. You are comfortable discussing APIs, data pipelines, and machine learning workflows with engineers and data scientists without getting lost in translation
• Communication & Leadership: You can tell a story with data, persuading others and driving consensus across different departments and seniority levels

Nice-to-Have

• Business Fluency: Experience with the insurance market
• AI/ML Exposure: Direct experience shipping products that involve ML, AI, or predictive modeling
