Qonto is hiring a Data Solution Engineer in Milan to join the Data Platform team. You will own data solutions end-to-end, from ingestion into Snowflake to exposure via Trino and Metabase, building self-service capabilities for internal teams.

You will work with a modern cloud-native stack (Python, SQL, Snowflake, Airflow, Trino, Metabase, OpenMetadata, Kubernetes, AWS) with high autonomy in a fast-growing fintech.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in Data or Software Engineering, shipping and operating data pipelines in production.
• Strong Python proficiency and understanding of data infrastructure (warehouse, query engine, orchestrator).
• Experience with open-source data tools (Airflow, Snowflake preferred) and debugging infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS).
• Ability to translate business needs to technical constraints and own end-to-end projects.

Mansioni

• Deliver end-to-end data solutions from need to production – ingestion into Snowflake, exposure through Trino and Metabase, and automation.
• Turn recurring manual requests into reusable, documented blocks for self-service.
• Be the trusted interface for data consumers, handling requests via duty and Office Hours, and deciding on fixes vs. platform changes.
• Define contracts, tests and SLAs for data quality and freshness, investigating incidents to root cause.
• Run and maintain the open-source Data Platform stack (Trino, Metabase, Airflow, OpenMetadata) in production.
