You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across all stages of the data lifecycle.

This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and implementing technical solutions related to :

• Data Governance & Management policies as code
• Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation
• Automation of Data Policies and Procedures
• Automation of Data Security processes and controls

Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for :

• Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across different layers of the data stack and phases of the data lifecycle.
• Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies, procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse.
• Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality controls, validation, metrics, and alerts.
• Coordinating with the Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using SQL, Python, and AWS big data technologies.
• Building and deploying Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists.

Skills :

• Education in Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in enterprise applications and ML apps.
• Experience with data security management and automation.
• Strong analytical skills working with structured and unstructured data.

Technical Skills :

• Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms : Snowflake or similar
• Programming : SQL, Python, RestAPI
• ETL Tools : Airflow, Snowpipe, or similar
• Data Transformation : dbt or similar
• Governance Platforms : Collate, Open Metadata, Collibra, Infosphere, Montecarlo, Informatica
• Visualization : Tableau or similar
• Version Control : Bitbucket, GitLab, Github
• Documentation : Atlassian Confluence or similar

Soft Skills :

• Excellent communication and project management skills (Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
• Proficiency in English and Spanish
• Strategic thinking, results-oriented, data literacy, and visualization skills

Day-to-day Activities :

• Managing the HBX Data Platform Stack, including security, user management, roles, and permissions.
• Designing and implementing automated data governance policies and controls.
• Ensuring data platform connectivity and governance via API integrations.
• Implementing data security policies to comply with regulations like GDPR and internal standards.
• Supporting full data lifecycle management, including upgrades, management, decommissioning, and archiving, in line with data retention policies.
