Data Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
The overall purpose of the role is to support the strategic initiatives of the Global Supply Chain Analytics Team. The role consists of designing and developing the data strategy, reporting, analytics, modeling and working in close contact with the different internal Supply Chain functions (Demand & Production Planning, Warehouse & Distribution, Direct & Indirect Procurement) and external service software providers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Help designing & implementing the data strategy to build the Analytics Platform to support E2E planning processes.
2. Developing and managing BI intelligence solutions for the organization.
3. Create a Self-Service reporting platform to streamline, standardize & simplify access to data, reporting & analytics.
4. Analyzing business requirements and processes and design optimal BI Solutions to support the Organization objectives.
5. Creating and maintaining documentation that includes the design requirements and user manuals.
6. Manage and publish all required KPIs for internal business needs.
7. Support the implementation of new company E2E planning system.
8. Ensure continuous visibility & data consistency in the Analytics Platform throughout the migration from SAP ECC to S4 HANA.
9. Manages and provides leadership for the functional group’s development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

1. 5-8 years' experience in BI, Data and Analytics.
2. Good knowledge / understanding of supply chain operations.

Skills

1. Knowledge and understanding of Inventory Management Principles and E2E Supply Chain Processes.
2. Advanced knowledge of SQL Language.
3. Advanced knowledge of database design (Oracle / SQL server).
4. Good knowledge of BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau).
5. Good knowledge of PowerShell (Microsoft task automation and configuration management framework).
6. Good knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Platform.
7. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
8. Knowledge of SAP platform is a plus.
9. Strong Analytical capabilities.
10. Self-starter who can drive results given ambiguity and minimal direction and oversight.
11. Good verbal and written communication skills.
12. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Organize and prioritize issues and activities necessary to complete tasks in a timely manner.
13. Results oriented and able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
14. Strong attention to detail.
15. Good verbal communication, both talking and listening.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
APICS certification is a plus.

Local Specifications
Italy (position can be remote).
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Minimal travel required (10% of the time).
