Capco in Milano is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and manage data pipelines for Financial Services clients, integrating cloud tools and ensuring data quality and reliability.

You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, optimize ETL/ELT processes, and contribute to data governance, reporting, and analytics initiatives. Capco offers a competitive benefits package and a dynamic, inclusive work environment in Italy.

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Management, or Data & Analytics environments.
  • Experience designing and managing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL querying.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools.
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.

  • Interact with Cloud infrastructures, integrating multiple Cloud tools, and understanding their dependencies and limitations.
  • Design, develop, and manage data pipelines and data integration processes for Financial Services clients.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of scalable data architectures to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Collect, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.

Role Description

Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields
  • 2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Management, or Data & Analytics environments
  • Experience in designing and managing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL querying
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data architectures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools

Nice To Have
  • Previous experience in Financial Services or consulting environments
  • Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed data processing frameworks
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with PySpark, Databricks, DataFactory
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Relevant certifications in cloud or data technologies

Pay Transparency

Capco is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation to our people. Our compensation policies are designed to allow our people to progress through our defined salary range over time as they progress in their role.

The minimum gross annual base salary for this position is from €29.000. The final offer could be higher to reflect the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable bonus payment.
