Oerlikon in Brugherio (MB) is seeking a Data Engineer to analyze requirements and translate them into Azure/Fabric-based solutions, including data modeling, storage, and governance. You will design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, collaborating in a multinational environment.

The role requires 4+ years in data management/analytics, strong data modeling skills, and fluency in Italian and English. Hybrid work model and permanent full-time contract under CCNL are offered.

Oerlikon is embarking on an ambitious data-driven journey, with a brand-new cloud data platform to be built at the heart of this transformation as enabler for Analytics, AI and digitalization in general. Data Engineering will play a key role in this journey, ensuring the delivery of Data Products.

In this context we are looking for you as a Data Engineer to analyze business requirements, transferring them into solution concepts and implementing them on our new MS Azure/Fabric based Data Platform.

The position is based in Brugherio (MB) and offers a hybrid work model.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements related to data management and analytics.
• Develop solution concepts, following guidelines, templates and best practices.
• Implement data management solutions, included integration, transformation, data modelling and storage on Microsoft.
• Deliver maintenance to developed solutions if necessary.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology or similar.
• Proven track record of at least 4 years of work experience in roles related to data management and analytics, such as data engineer, data architect and similar.
• Proficiency in data modeling methodologies and tools (understanding of concepts such as normalization, and experience in designing entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams).
• Experience with cloud data platform solutions including data storage, integration tools and frameworks, data management and data governance products.
• Understanding of general cloud services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
• Knowledge and practical experience with DevOps principles and tools, and how to use them in a data management/analytics environment. This includes knowledge of CI/CD on Azure and GitHub.
• Proficiency in Italian and in English.
• Experienced in multinational and geographically distributed work environments.
• Proven experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• A permanent, full-time employment contract under the Metalworking Industry National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL). The gross annual salary for this role ranges between €38,000 and €48,000. The final compensation package will be determined based on predefined, objective, fair, and gender-neutral criteria, including professional experience, relevant experience in a similar role, educational background, technical expertise, and soft skills.
