Job summary

Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. – AWS is seeking a Security Specialist Intern to support the physical security of our data centers. You will work with the Data Center Security team on day-to-day operations, vendor coordination, and security improvements.

This 12-week full-time internship (40 hours/week) offers mentorship, hands-on projects, and a potential pathway to full-time employment based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Criminology, Security Management, or related field, graduating in 2027/2028.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a team with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with security vendors and assist with day-to-day security operations.
• Analyze operational data and report on security trends.
• Suggest improvements to surveillance systems and access controls.
• Help develop guidance for data center occupants to reduce false alarms.
• Write reports and create presentations on security status for management.
• Assist with planning and coordinating security-related projects.
• Support incident documentation and follow-up processes.
