Eaton Corporation cerca un Data Center Design Manager (Elettrico) per supportare la regione EMEA. Sarai responsabile della progettazione, sviluppo e implementazione di soluzioni datacenter innovative, guidando un team di ingegneria, e assicurando consegne di alta qualità e scalabili.

La posizione richiede una mentalità strategica, competenze tecniche avanzate nel design di data center e la capacità di guidare l’innovazione in progetti complessi in un contesto internazionale.

Competenze

• Laurea in Ingegneria Elettrica (BSc/MSc).
• Master’s degree preferita.
• 8-10 anni di esperienza nel settore elettrico per impianti mission critical.

Mansioni

• Guidare la progettazione elettrica dello datacenter dall’idea al collaudo.
• Gestire team di ingegneri e SMEs multidisciplinari.
• Garantire standard di qualità, rischi e conformità normativi.
• Supportare incontri con clienti, appaltatori e interni Eaton.
• Partecipare a revisioni formali e valutazioni di valore durante i progetti.
• Condurre visite in cantiere per monitorare l’installazione elettrica e la messa in servizio.

Data Center is a complex application and a strategic growth area for Eaton. It has unique characteristics derived from the fact that it straddles IT and facility, and that the Data Center and IT are in the middle of a radical transformation due to the combination of digitization and surge of AI loads driving a fast growth in power needs on the one hand, and de‑carbonization and grid saturation on other hand.

For our Data Center Design Engineering Team supporting the South Zone, we are seeking a Spain Italy-based Data Center Design Manager (Electrical), reporting into the EMEA Director of Engineering - DC Segment - You will be responsible for managing the design, development, and implementation of innovative data center solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in data center design and a passion for driving innovation. This role requires influential technical leader who can drive design innovation, managing engineering teams, lead continuous improvement to enable the delivery of high‑quality, efficient, and scalable data centre solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Design Manager on data centre projects, leading the electrical design scope from concept, through detailed design, to construction support and closeout.
• Remain hands on in electrical design, providing technical leadership and ownership of critical design aspects for mission critical facilities.
• Lead and coordinate electrical engineers and SMEs as part of a multidisciplinary design team on both large and small projects.
• Manage design deliverables, resources, schedules, and quality across assigned projects.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentoring to the DC Design & Engineering team.
• Develop, implement, and uphold electrical design quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Review and approve electrical designs, calculations, reports, and specifications, undertaking and facilitating formal peer reviews.
• Act as a client facing technical lead, attending and contributing to client, contractor, and Eaton internal meetings.
• Lead project teams during value engineering, optioneering, and technical decision making stages.
• Participate in and lead project site visits to monitor, review, and resolve electrical installation and commissioning matters.
• Collaborate with project management, commercial, and construction teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSc / MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• 8-10 Years of Experience.

Skills

• Proven experience delivering the full suite of electrical engineering services for mission critical facilities, including (but not limited to): MV and LV power distribution; Transformers; UPS and standby generation systems.
• Strong knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and accepted industry best practices.
• Experience undertaking value engineering and integrating new technologies to deliver cost effective, resilient client solutions.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is advantageous, but not essential.
• Fluent Spanish and/or Italian & English required.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as edge computing and AI.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to think strategically and drive long‑term innovation.
• Proven experience in building teams and supporting processes.
