Equinix Italy is seeking a technically skilled professional to join our data center operations. The role focuses on technical repairs, site maintenance, and problem solving within mission-critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD) or equivalent experience and is fluent in Italian and English. The position emphasizes collaboration with design teams and adherence to best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

Complete knowledge and full understanding of area of specialization, principles and practices within a professional discipline. Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem solving techniques to identify cause. Resolves and assesses a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggests variations in approach. This job is the fully qualified, experienced professional, journey-level position.

Responsibilities

Technical Support

• Responsible for technical specialized repairs on mission-critical datacenter systems requiring sophisticated analytical problem solving techniques to identify cause

Reporting

• Reviews specialized contractual reports and activities

Site Maintenance

• Oversees the site maintenance and up keep of Data Center infrastructures according to Equinix global standards

Assess Adherence to Policy

• Ensures all repairs performed on all Data Center infrastructure are according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and best practices

Complexity & Problem Solving

• Aids in root cause analysis and in repair of specialized failed critical components


• Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues


• Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points

Collaboration & Interaction

• Liaises with design stakeholders on design changes


• Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion


• Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters

Design

• Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source)

Qualifications

• Typically requires proven years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or proven years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience


• Fluency in Italian and English

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Italy : 42,800 - 64,200 EUR / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.

The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
