Job Summary
Maximising service continuity and optimising the quality and reliability of site infrastructure services, while adhering to energy efficiency and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities
- Service continuity
- Help develop preventive maintenance programmes for the site infrastructure and implement them with key suppliers. Follow operations closely with a focus on minimising operational risks. Ensure activities are fully documented, including structural adjustments.
- Participate in audits to assess service continuity, conduct risk analysis.
- Implement improvement plans based on audit findings or incidents.
- Oversee crisis management plans, conduct related tests and ensure proper implementation.
- Stay updated on site developments and practices to intervene independently when needed. Guide maintenance technicians for incident rectification.
- Operate electrical infrastructure as needed to protect personnel, resources, and maintain service continuity, with details provided at the end of the document.
- Managing capacity and infrastructure upgrades
- Monitor and report infrastructure capacities, usage, and stress levels to the Infrastructure Manager.
- Anticipate impacts of future infrastructure changes, set alert thresholds, and consider technical solutions to enhance infrastructure and redundancy.
- Lead considerations on infrastructure strengthening, including studies, approvals, estimates, planning, and risk analysis.
- Manage projects in collaboration with supporting teams and clients as necessary.
- Oversee initiatives to improve PUE and infrastructure energy efficiency.
- Recommend increases in energy supply when needed.
- Develop energy quality indicators and maintain partnerships to improve energy reliability.
- Systems and KPIs
- Ensure smooth operation of centralized technical systems with the Monitoring/Systems Team.
- Maintain systems for effective infrastructure monitoring and safety operations.
- Establish maintenance activities within the Group's CMMS system.
- Produce data and indicators for reporting as requested.
- Safety and quality management
- Ensure compliance with infrastructure standards and legal documentation.
- Assist with infrastructure-related certifications.
- Implement health and safety requirements to enhance site safety.
- Apply directives for third-party interventions to ensure safety.
Qualifications
- Technical training (senior technician or engineer) in electricity, air conditioning, fire protection, safety systems, or GTC systems.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a data center environment.
- Technical versatility and proactive proposal skills.
- Effective communication skills with third parties and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with monitoring capabilities.
