About the role - Data Analyst (initial 3 month contract)

Reporting to the Head of RevOps, you will be joining the team as a Data Analyst where you’ll drive Poq’s data capabilities by automating data collection, building dashboards, and producing insightful reports. By analysing market trends and user behaviour, you’ll deliver strategic insights for marketing, customer success, and product enhancements. You’ll also support analytics setup for new customers, contribute to feature development, and provide monthly performance insights to inform campaigns and sales efforts, helping Poq make smarter, data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Dashboard & KPI Management: Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to track critical KPIs, including app engagement, retention, conversion rates, and revenue growth across our customer base.
  2. Analytics Channel Ownership: Manage and prioritise incoming data requests via the internal analytics communication channel, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
  3. Customer Analytics Setup: Assist Poq’s first-line support team in configuring analytics for new customer implementations to ensure seamless data tracking and reporting.
  4. Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct digital market research to analyse market share, user behaviour, and industry trends, comparing findings against Poq app performance for marketing, customer insights, and consultancy purposes.
  5. Business Case Insights: Generate data-driven insights to support feature business cases by assessing uplifts in key KPIs associated with user experience improvements.
  6. Monthly/Quarterly Insights & Performance Report: Support the relaunch of Poq’s quarterly app insights and performance report, enhancing brand credibility, aligning with the marketing content strategy, and adding value to sales collateral.
  7. Support Customer Success: Provide insights into client app performance and identify key drivers of app adoption, feature usage, and overall app success.
  8. Team Player Mentality: Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment to drive data-driven initiatives.

Experience:

  1. At least 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst
  2. Strong proficiency in Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics for tracking and analysing user behaviour
  3. Experience or exposure to the retail or e-commerce industry, with an understanding of relevant metrics and trends
  4. Proficiency in Google Workspace tools such as Sheets, including advanced formulas and automation; knowledge of recent AI advancements is a plus but not required
  5. Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms such as Looker and Tableau; knowledge of recent AI advancements is a plus but not required
  6. Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise data warehouse solutions, such as BigQuery
  7. Good understanding of SQL for querying and manipulating data
  8. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus
  9. Solid understanding of mathematical concepts, including statistics and algebra, to analyze and interpret data effectively
  10. Outstanding analytical skills for gathering, organizing, analyzing, and presenting large data sets with accuracy and attention to detail
  11. Strong aptitude for identifying challenges and applying data-driven solutions
  12. Experience with native mobile app analytics is advantageous but not essential
