Business Systems Manager - D365 Perm

Up to €130K base salary plus excellent benefits package, details to be shared upon conversation.

About The Client:

Our client is a leading manufacturing organization undergoing a significant ERP and business applications transformation. We are seeking an EMEA Head of Applications to lead, optimize, and scale our D365 and wider business applications landscape across multiple European locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management:
   • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing ERP & Applications team across multiple European sites.
   • Provide strategic leadership rather than deep technical expertise in D365.
   • Ensure team stability and motivation through transformation and change initiatives.
   • Drive a collaborative and high-performance culture within IT and business teams.
2. ERP & Business Applications Oversight:
   • Own and oversee all business applications, with a primary focus on D365 F&O and other enterprise solutions.
   • Evaluate and optimize existing applications for performance, efficiency, and scalability.
   • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to enhance application functionality.
   • Support ERP and digital transformation initiatives with IT functional expertise and business alignment.
3. Strategic & Operational Execution:
   • Assess the current applications landscape and identify areas for improvement.
   • Align IT and application strategy with business goals, particularly in PE-backed, M&A, and carve-out transformation programs.
   • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure best practices in application management, governance, and support.
   • Manage application roadmaps, ensuring scalability, compliance, and efficiency in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
4. Ideal Profile:
   • Proven leadership experience managing ERP & Business Applications teams across multiple European locations.
   • Strong track record in manufacturing, pharma, or FMCG transformation environments.
   • Good knowledge of D365 F&O and broader business applications.
   • Ability to evaluate, scale, and optimize business applications to drive efficiency and business value.
   • Comfortable working in private equity-backed transformations and complex business change environments.
   • Experience navigating cultural and operational differences across European teams (Germany, Austria, Greece).
   • Strong stakeholder management skills, working closely with C-level, IT, and business leaders.
