Within the GCAP Joint Venture, in the GCAP Technical Leadership UO, we are looking for a Experience Senior Manager for GCAP HQ in Reading (UK).

The Experience Senior Manager leads the digital experience strategy for both employee and customer solutions (product & platform) within the JV. Reporting to the Head of Technology Strategy & Enterprise Architecture, they oversee a team responsible for delivering intuitive, user-friendly digital solutions that enhance productivity, engagement, and satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a user-centred approach to drive digital transformation.

Key Capability Accountabilities and Objectives

  • Digital Experience Strategy and Leadership: Define and implement a unified digital experience strategy for employee and customer-facing solutions.
  • Team management: Lead and mentor the Employee Experience Manager and Customer Experience Manager, ensuring consistency and quality across all digital touchpoints.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder engagement: Work with product managers, developers, and senior leadership to align design solutions with business and technology goals.
  • User research and data-driven design: Oversee research, usability testing, and data analysis to ensure designs meet user needs and drive measurable improvements.
  • Champion best practices and implement design standards: Champion best practices in UX/UI, accessibility, and digital design, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and emerging technologies.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT or business degree or demonstrable experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing design teams.
  • Expertise in design tools (Figma, Sketch) and UX research methodologies.
  • Ability to work with development teams, product managers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility, usability, and data-driven design approaches.
  • Experience using major Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High ethical standards when handling confidential information.

Desiderable Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Experience in enterprise software or large-scale customer experience design.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, front-end technologies, and enterprise architecture principles.
