Leonardo cerca un Database Administrator per i nostri uffici di Genova, Roma e Napoli. Il ruolo guida progettazione, implementazione e gestione di infrastrutture DB in Azure e ambienti on‑premise con VMware, assicurando HA/DR e sicurezza.

Si richiede esperienza 3–5 anni in progetti IT, conoscenza di SQL Server, Oracle e backup, oltre a abilità di teamwork e comunicazione efficace. Contratto permanente con percorso di crescita e opportunità internazionali.

Qualifications

• Laurea in Ingegneria o discipline STEM o esperienza equivalente.

Responsibilities

• Progettare, pianificare e implementare infrastrutture e sistemi database su Azure e on-premise via VMware.
• Garantire il corretto funzionamento dei sistemi DB gestendo monitoraggio, incident e richieste.
• Gestire aggiornamenti, patching e misure di sicurezza.
• Configurare ambienti e database con replica/partizionamento per High Availability e DR.
• Analizzare problemi di performance e collaborare alle soluzioni.
• Supportare team Applicazioni/Development e collaborare con i backup per politiche adeguate.
• Collaborare in progetti Cloud ibridi nei mercati industriali, Difesa PA.

Job Description:

Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme) program, along with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at developing and implementing a new generation aerial system, defined as a "system of systems". Employed for multi-domain operations in the defense sector, the system will be characterized by a "core platform" connected with other peripheral "adjuncts" systems, manned and unmanned. The program, among the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will guide the technological revolution that will characterize the sector in the next fifty years. A challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, because it aims to identify and make available those innovative technologies, called enabling technologies, which will ensure a generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, to the benefit of new generations.

Within the Cyber & Security Solutions Area, we are looking for a Database Administrator for our offices in Genoa, Rome, Naples.

The person will be responsible for the following activities:

• Design, planning and implementation of the database infrastructure and systems on the Microsoft Azure Public Cloud model and on-premise model via VMWare.
• Ensure the regular functioning of database systems, managing monitoring events, incidents and requests.
• Management of database platform updates with upgrade and patching processes applying the necessary security measures.
• Configuration and preparation of environments and databases applying replication and partitioning systems to ensure High Availability, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
• Analyze performance problems by proposing solutions and collaborating in their implementation.
• Support and collaborate with application and development teams in the analysis of errors and problems with respect to normal database use.
• Collaborate with backup teams to ensure correct execution of database backups, according to agreed policies.
• Collaboration in Cloud, Hybrid Cloud projects in the industrial, Defense and Public Administration markets.

Educational qualification:
Degree in Engineering or STEM disciplines or equivalent experience.

Seniority:
Expert 3-5 years of experience.
At least 3 years of practical experience in IT projects and in Cloud and/or On-Premise environments with excellent knowledge of technologies and attention to security aspects.

Technical knowledge and skills:

• Advanced knowledge of major Database platforms, both in IaaS and Paas deploy solutions, especially:
• SQL Server
• Oracle
• Experience of architectures in HA, BC and/or DR scenarios
• Knowledge of Storage and Backup solutions

Behavioral skills:

• Good predisposition to teamwork
• Effective communication
• Be a reliable and flexible team player
• Have a creative mindset and ability to analyze problems effectively

Language skills:
* Good knowledge of spoken and written English (B2)

How does the selection process work?
After collecting applications, CVs that are most in line with the required requirements are evaluated and identified.
