The Cybersecurity Solutions Officer will collaborate with various UNICC teams to develop secure digital solutions and services. The incumbent will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on cybersecurity, acting as the focal point for cybersecurity capabilities within UNICC, and providing guidance on fundamental cybersecurity elements to be incorporated into all digital solutions. Additionally, the officer will oversee cybersecurity services and coordinate with UNICC’s Partner Organizations to gather feedback.

Objectives of the Programme

The Centre aims to deliver trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its clients and partner organizations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Chief of the Cybersecurity Division and in close collaboration with all cybersecurity units within UNICC. Responsibilities include:

  1. Participating in Business Relationship Management (BRM) activities such as Proof of Concepts, security design support, proposal writing, and delivering presentations and training.
  2. Providing cybersecurity engineering designs and implementing solutions across cybersecurity domains.
  3. Supporting BRMs to integrate fundamental cybersecurity controls into all UNICC digital solutions and coordinating their implementation.
  4. Standardizing and updating documentation, roadmaps, and presentations related to cybersecurity capabilities.
  5. Raising awareness among UNICC’s partner ecosystem about cybersecurity capabilities.
  6. Coordinating cybersecurity working groups with partner agencies to gather feedback on enhancing cybersecurity services and developing common solutions.
  7. Maintaining effective relationships with partners to understand their technical and business challenges and requirements, and communicating these to cybersecurity teams.
  8. Monitoring cybersecurity services delivered to ensure compliance with requirements and deliverables.
  9. Collaborating with the communications team to share cybersecurity updates and accomplishments.
  10. Providing ad hoc support within the team or other teams, including participation in special projects or short-term service delivery.
Recruitment Profile
Experience and Skills
  • Minimum five years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including solutioning and presales.
  • Deep knowledge of security architecture and design principles.
  • Understanding of the security solutions landscape and industry trends.
  • Technical expertise in security technologies such as Firewalls, IPS, SIEM, DLP, Cloud Security, and familiarity with products like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and others.
  • Experience with MSS, SOC operations, OT/IOT security, business continuity, identity and access management, and security risk assessments.
  • Experience in preparing technical architecture blueprints and responding to RFPs is highly desirable.
  • Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, GIAC, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Advanced university degree focusing on information technology or cybersecurity is preferred.
Languages
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish or French is an advantage.
Teamwork and Communication
  • Ability to develop effective relationships, handle conflicts constructively, and communicate clearly.
