Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the organizing committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026. It is responsible for organizing, promoting, and communicating the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history, involving 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The organizing committee was established in 2019 to ensure the Olympics are organized in compliance with the Host City Contract signed by the IOC, Milano, Cortina, and CONI. It also involves partners like the Italian Paralympic Committee, Lombardy and Veneto regions, Trento and Bolzano provinces, with support from the Italian government.

Position

The Games Technology team manages a wide range of technology services, including applications supporting operations, venue technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and results services.

The Cyber Security area is responsible for governance, management, and integration of cybersecurity tools to support the Games. The team works with vendors, users, and stakeholders to deliver secure technology solutions. The cybersecurity architect will collaborate with service providers to implement security applications, define requirements, monitor incidents, ensure legal compliance, analyze threats, and promote cybersecurity awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IT initiatives with service providers, including global sponsors
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners on IT projects
  • Review and improve security architecture for IT systems and cloud services
  • Approve security requirements for network devices and protocols
  • Implement security protocols based on business needs
  • Conduct system testing and continuous security monitoring
  • Control access to IT and cloud systems based on roles
  • Establish and validate disaster recovery procedures
  • Respond to security incidents and perform post-event analysis
  • Support staff training on IT security
  • Analyze and review functional requirements, system features, security, scalability, and performance
  • Serve as liaison between Milano-Cortina 2026 and service providers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5-6 years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles supporting project delivery or operations
  • Certifications like ISC, CISSP, familiarity with ITIL and COBIT frameworks are advantageous
  • Experience with Windows and Unix security
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection systems, firewalls, TCP/IP, and OSI model
  • Understanding of IT risks, cybersecurity, cloud services, and security protocols
  • Experience with SSO, multi-factor authentication, identity management systems, and encryption technologies
  • Knowledge of VPNs, SIEM systems, and security analysis tools
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Italian
