SUMMARY

Responsible for start-up, maintenance, and emergency repairs of Vertiv Air Conditioning products, as well as other contracted systems. Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with customers, salespeople, distributors, and others in the area. Maintain continuous communication with Call Control and the department manager/supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond professionally to all assigned service calls while on duty.
  • Perform all work safely and in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Use good working practices and adhere to current codes and legislation relevant to the tasks.
  • Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining a minimum 90% planned maintenance completion rate.
  • Help schedule, plan, and complete work with call control, following workflow procedures.
  • Keep call control informed about your schedule and the status of all open jobs.
  • Report errors in the customer listing using the site change form.
  • Support the company vision and management decisions.
  • Follow all ISO 9001:2000 processes.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
  • Take care of all tooling and company property issued for tasks.
  • Work as part of the service team.
  • Follow up and follow through on all assigned tasks.
  • Submit daily paperwork accurately and timely; for wireless field service, ensure complete debriefing at the customer’s premises where possible.
  • Be available to work during weekends and nights.
  • Report sales or service leads to the appropriate department.
  • Provide a positive influence to peers.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance with difficult problems.
  • Assist department supervisors, salespeople, contracts engineers, and managers with daily operations.
  • Attend customer meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with export/import regulations and supply chain security policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in a technical service or testing environment of air conditioning equipment is essential.
  • Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous field service experience is essential.
  • Self-starter with good planning, organization, and time management skills, able to work under pressure.
  • Valid and clean driving license.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Significant after-hours and weekend work, often scheduled with little notice.
  • Travel daily to customer sites.
  • May involve staying away from home or long-distance travel.
  • Occasional heavy lifting.
  • Operate as part of a team.
  • Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota.
  • May require international travel.
  • Company uniform provided, to be worn at all times during work.
