SUMMARY
Responsible for start-up, maintenance, and emergency repairs of Vertiv Air Conditioning products, as well as other contracted systems. Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with customers, salespeople, distributors, and others within the area. Maintain continuous communication with Call Control and the department manager/supervisor.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond professionally to all assigned service calls while on duty.
- Perform work safely and in accordance with company safety policies.
- Use good working practices and adhere to relevant codes of practice and legislation.
- Ensure proper accounting of spare parts using established procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a planned maintenance completion rate of at least 90%.
- Coordinate with call control to schedule, plan, and complete work using established workflows.
- Keep call control informed of your schedule and status of open jobs.
- Maintain accurate customer listings and report errors via site change forms.
- Support company vision and management decisions.
- Follow all ISO 9001:2000 processes.
- Keep company vehicle and tools well-maintained.
- Work as part of the service team, following up on all tasks.
- Submit daily paperwork accurately and timely; debrief jobs at customer sites when possible.
- Be available to work during weekends and nights.
- Report sales or service leads appropriately.
- Provide positive peer influence and technical assistance on-site.
- Assist supervisors, salespeople, contracts engineers, and managers with operational duties.
- Attend customer meetings as required.
- Ensure compliance with export/import regulations and supply chain security policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a technical service or testing environment of air conditioning equipment.
- Proficiency with office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous field service experience essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with good planning and organizational skills.
- Valid driving license.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- After hours and weekend work, often scheduled with short notice.
- Daily travel to customer sites; may require overnight stays or long-distance travel.
- Occasional heavy lifting.
- Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Potential international travel.
- Uniform provided and required to be worn at all times during work.
