Job Title: Air Conditioning Service Technician

Summary

Responsible for startup, maintenance, and emergency repairs of Vertiv Air Conditioning products and other contracted systems. Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with customers, sales personnel, distributors, and others in the area. Maintain continuous communication with Call Control and the department Manager/Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond professionally to all assigned service calls.
  2. Perform work safely, adhering to company safety policies.
  3. Follow current codes and best practices relevant to the tasks.
  4. Ensure proper accounting of spare parts using established procedures.
  5. Assist in maintaining a planned maintenance completion rate of at least 90%.
  6. Coordinate with call control to schedule and complete work using workflow procedures.
  7. Keep call control informed of your schedule and job status.
  8. Report errors in customer listings using the site change form.
  9. Support company vision and management decisions.
  10. Follow ISO 9001:2000 processes.
  11. Maintain company vehicle and tools in good condition.
  12. Work as part of the service team, following up on tasks.
  13. Submit accurate daily paperwork and debrief jobs at customer sites when possible.
  14. Be available for weekend and night work as required.
  15. Report sales or service leads appropriately.
  16. Provide positive support to peers and assist with difficult technical problems on-site.
  17. Collaborate with supervisors, sales staff, engineers, and managers in daily operations.
  18. Attend customer meetings as needed.
  19. Ensure compliance with export/import regulations and supply chain security policies.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in technical service or testing of air conditioning equipment is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous field service experience is essential.
  • Self-motivated with good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent after-hours and weekend work, often scheduled with little notice.
  • Daily travel to customer sites; overnight or long-distance travel may be required.
  • Occasional heavy lifting.
  • Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Potential international travel.
  • Company uniform provided and must be worn at all times during work.
