SUMMARY

Responsible for start-up, maintenance, and emergency repairs of Vertiv Air Conditioning products, as well as other contracted systems. Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area. Maintain ongoing communication with Call Control and the department Manager/Supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond professionally to all assigned service calls.
  • Perform work safely, following company safety policies.
  • Adhere to current codes of practice and legislation relevant to tasks.
  • Ensure proper accounting of spare parts using established procedures.
  • Support maintaining a minimum 90% planned maintenance completion rate.
  • Assist in scheduling, planning, and completing work with call control, following workflow procedures.
  • Keep call control informed of your schedule and job status.
  • Maintain accurate customer listings and report errors via site change forms.
  • Support company vision and management decisions.
  • Follow all ISO 9001:2000 processes.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
  • Care for all tooling and company property issued.
  • Work as part of the service team.
  • Follow up and complete assigned tasks thoroughly.
  • Submit daily paperwork accurately and timely; debrief jobs at customer sites when possible.
  • Be available to work during weekends and nights.
  • Report sales or service leads appropriately.
  • Provide positive influence to peers.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance for difficult problems.
  • Assist department supervisors, sales staff, contracts engineers, and managers with daily operations.
  • Attend customer meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with export/import regulations and supply chain security policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in a technical service or testing environment of air conditioning equipment.
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Previous field service experience.
  • Self-motivated with good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Valid clean driving license.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Significant after-hours and weekend work, often scheduled with short notice.
  • Daily travel to customer sites.
  • Potential for long-distance travel and overnight stays.
  • Occasional heavy lifting.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
  • Potential international travel.
  • Company uniform provided and required to be worn during work.
