Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to act as the primary contact for customers engaging with the STACK Team. The NOC Technician is responsible for investigating issues related to CORE ordered and STACK Italy internet services, providing support, and delivering high-quality service to STACK customers.

Tasks:

  1. Provide high-quality, timely, and accurate end-to-end support within the designated functional area, including communication via phone, email, and documentation in the ticketing system.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for network investigations.
  3. Diagnose and resolve internet circuit trouble reports.
  4. Coordinate with various carriers to effectively resolve issues for STACK customers.
  5. Monitor STACK internal networks using various applications.
  6. Coordinate troubleshooting actions with customers effectively.
  7. Document all actions and time spent accurately.
  8. Follow and coordinate workflows, acting as the information hub for STACK.
  9. Contribute to the optimization of internal network management and NOC processes.
  10. Create Network MOP/SOP and Courtesy Access Requests.
  11. Manage Meet Me Cage Requests.
  12. Create and monitor alarm/alert events.
  13. Interpret, investigate, and resolve network and environmental alerts.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and Layer 1 connectivity issues, including hardware maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) across multiple hardware platforms and media types.
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication, simplifying complex issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of network topologies.
  • Experience with equipment terminal access and network monitoring software.
