Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in Italy seeks an experienced Critical Operations Manager to lead our technical teams across data centre facilities. You will manage Critical Operations Technicians and Engineers, ensuring safety, reliability and high-quality service 24/7, while avoiding shift rotations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Critical Operations team and activities across data centre facilities.
• Monitor site operations through BMS and PMS platforms.
• Oversee maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure timely responses to customer needs and quality service.
• Maintain safety standards and PPE compliance.
• Create and maintain operational documentation (RCA, SOP, MOP, EOP).
• Manage customer cases through NetSuite and tasks through Modius.
• Support skill development of team members.

The role

Are you an experienced technical operations leader who enjoys developing people, solving complex engineering challenges and taking responsibility for the performance of critical facilities? At STACK Infrastructure, we build and operate Data Centres that support some of the world's leading technology companies. As our operations in Italy continue to grow, we're looking for Critical Operations Managers to lead our technical teams and help maintain the high standards of safety, reliability and service our customers depend on. In this role, you'll lead Critical Operations Technicians (COTs) and Critical Operations Engineers (COEs) supporting facilities that operate around the clock. Combining your technical background with strong people leadership, you'll oversee critical engineering systems, manage operational performance and help your team develop. You'll work closely with engineering colleagues, customers and suppliers in an environment where technical expertise, teamwork and sound decision‑making matter. The COM role does not involve rotating shifts, although the teams you lead provide 24/7 operational coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead critical operations activities for the Data Center, ensuring safe and continuous operations and high-quality service delivery
• Lead and manage the Critical Operations team
• Monitor site operations through BMS and PMS platforms
• Manage routine activities on electrical and mechanical equipment
• Ensure timely and effective responses to customer and user needs
• Ensure all scheduled maintenance activities are completed on time
• Manage critical situations and extraordinary operational activities
• Plan and manage technical tasks and equipment
• Apply maintenance processes and operational methods
• Verify compliance with safety standards and the correct use of PPE
• Manage relationships with customers and suppliers
• Attend periodic meetings with customers
• Prepare and maintain operational documentation, including RCA, SOP, MOP, EOP, and reports
• Manage customer cases through NetSuite and activities through Modius
• Support the development of the technical and interpersonal skills of team members

Required Skills And Background

• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance activities within an industrial environment; experience in critical environments is an advantage
• Good knowledge of critical infrastructure maintenance and repair activities
• High school diploma or University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and the correct use of PPE
• Customer-oriented mindset and service approach
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team management skills
• Good digital skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of NetSuite and Modius is considered an advantage
• Fluent in Italian and good command of written and spoken English

• Salary Range (Gross Annual Salary - RAL): €70.000 - €85.000 + performance bonus

The compensation range shown reflects the expected salary range for this position. Final compensation will be determined fairly and transparently within this range, based on the candidate's professional experience, skills and qualifications.
