About the role

The credit department at Revolut is anything but ordinary. They design, develop, and launch credit features across the globe. The team manages our products from day one to the end — developing the back and front-end, the data science infrastructure, and creating local setups in each country with scalable risk management and portfolio solutions. It's a big job, but our people are a credit to us all.

As a Credit Manager, you'll be responsible for designing credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for Revolut’s SME lending products. This is a new feature in our portfolio. As the book grows, you'll manage the validation of the underwriting strategy and lead preventative and reactive actions to market and product changes.

What you'll be doing

• Determining the credit strategy for SME lending products in the EU
• Developing account-level valuation frameworks to optimize portfolio-level economic returns using NPV frameworks
• Optimizing credit strategies (originations, customer management, arrears) to maximize risk-adjusted returns
• Enhancing credit decisioning capabilities while maintaining a manual approach
• Designing, deploying, and analyzing champion-challenger tests across the credit lifecycle
• Managing credit limits, risk-based pricing, retention, and over-limit policies
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning through data assessment
• Monitoring and communicating performance insights from ongoing initiatives and KPIs
• Ensuring approval and compliance of credit risk functions with regulators and internal lines
• Onboarding new data suppliers

What you'll need

A proven track record managing risk cycles for SME credit products like unsecured business loans and credit lines

A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field from a top university (engineering, statistics, physics, math, economics, management)

Understanding of credit policy governance frameworks for second and third line of defense

Ability to deliver excellent results exceeding requirements

Forward-thinking and proactive problem-solving skills

Knowledge of credit and behavioral scoring models for SME business lending

Clear communication skills for explaining complex concepts simply

Ability to balance speed to market with quality problem-solving

Nice to have

Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or other data analysis tools

Willingness to learn new technologies to scale the business
