Your Role in VT Markets
As Country Manager – Italy (Forex), you will lead the company’s expansion and operations in Italy. You will develop market-specific strategies, build relationships with Introducing Brokers (IBs), affiliates, and partners, and ensure compliance with Italian financial regulations. You will collaborate with regional and global teams, including marketing, product, legal, and operations, to drive growth.
This is a remote position based in Italy, working during local business hours from home.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Market Entry & Strategic Development
- Lead and execute localized go-to-market plans to increase VT Markets’ presence in Italy. Use market insights to boost brand visibility and identify new business opportunities.
- Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with IBs, affiliates, and clients. Recruit new partners, increase trading volume, and manage a sales pipeline to meet KPIs. Implement sales promotions tailored to the Italian market.
- Hire, train, and lead a high-performing sales team. Monitor performance, adjust strategies, and mentor staff to enhance client engagement and service quality.
- Marketing Strategy & Brand Alignment
- Manage Italian-specific marketing campaigns aligned with global initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify market opportunities and risks.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all activities comply with Italian financial regulations. Work with legal and compliance teams on audits and documentation. Stay updated on regulatory changes.
- Analyze competitors, market trends, and customer needs. Provide insights to support strategic decisions and improve market positioning.
- Operational Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate between Italy and global teams. Lead presentations and negotiations with key partners. Provide feedback and reports to ensure smooth operations.
What Success Looks Like
- Achieving business development targets (monthly/quarterly) in IB acquisition, client growth, and revenue.
- Building a strong network of IBs and affiliates in Italy.
- Contributing to Italy market penetration and regional revenue.
- Collaborating effectively with internal teams for smooth, compliant operations.
- Representing VT Markets at local industry events.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years in the Forex/CFD industry, especially in business development, sales, or market management.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
- Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving growth.
- Deep knowledge of the Italian financial market and regulations.
- Experience managing relationships with brokers, financial institutions, and regulators.
- Strong personal network of IBs and affiliates in Italy.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Knowledge of forex trading platforms (MT4, MT5), instruments, and regulations.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Soft Skills
- Strong relationship-building skills, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
Other Requirements
- Native Italian speaker, fluent in English.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally occasionally.
- Ability to work remotely with your own equipment and internet.
