Job Description

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a sales strategy aligned with Company's growth objectives, targeting agencies (priority), advertisers and publishers. Be informed about market trends and competitors, leveraging insights to refine sales strategies and product positioning. Work with the executive leadership and cross functional teams to align the sales strategy with short and longer-term goals and ensure that the product is adding value to customers post-sale;
  • Revenue Growth: Drive new business development and achieve revenue targets by identifying and capturing opportunities in key verticals such as automotive, retail, entertainment, financial services and consumer goods. Be the champion for the company product and brand in the italian market while driving tangible new-wins and growth opportunities;
  • Client Relationships / Account Management: Establish and maintain strong, trusted relationships with decision-makers at global agencies and brans, effectively communicating company's value proposition, ROI, and technology. Work with existing customer to ensure that the product is sticky while driving retention and referrals;
  • Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs, monitor sales performance, and implement data-driven strategies to optimize results. Own sales budgeting and forecasting while creating a sales function and processes that are measurable, repeatable, and predictable;
  • Team Development & Management: Own the hiring, training and development of the sales and customer success team in the italian market. The Country Manager will operate as a single contributor in the beginning, then hiring and structuring the team organically as revenue grows.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in sales leadership rolesin ad tech and/or martech. Proven track record building relationships and selling to company's target buyer and customer base. Strong relationship with the most important media agency is a must;
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, building long term relationships with agencies and advertisers. Capable of operating and thriving in a small, start-up environment. Must love the pursuing and closing deals;
  • Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of digital advertising, attention metrics, and performance optimization technologies is highly preferred. Transferrable experience from adtech / martech may come in a variety of different forms given the most important factor is having existing relationships and credibility with targeted customers / brands and agencies;
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to hire and mentor a small team of exceptional sales people is important after the initial phase of establishing a beachhead in Italy;
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen and ability to align sales initiatives with overall company goals;
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making and sales strategies;
  • Communication: Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders;
  • Global Perspective: Experience working with global customers and collaborating with multi-cultural teams.

We need a leader and doer, with a tangible track-record of success as sales leader prospecting, pursuing, and closing deals ranging from high velocity $100K contracts to complex $1M+ deals.
He/she must have a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining first-class sales talent. The Country Manager will build a team and have the willingness and ability to play a direct role in opening doors and acquiring new logos while owning the overall italian sales strategy and delivery. Our client is an early-stage business where every team member will have to support growth, sales, customer satisfaction, and retention.
He/she shows ability to work within a fast-paced, evolving environment, that requires both macro vision and micro execution. He/she must be willing to be hands-on up, laterally and externally to drive sales results. The Country Manager should be comfortable moving between priorities, tasks, responsibilities, and balance strategy vs. execution while keeping teams aligned towards long-term goals. Someone who can add value in a wide variety ways and situations is ideal.
