Job Description
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a sales strategy aligned with company's growth objectives, targeting agencies (priority), advertisers, and publishers. Stay informed about market trends and competitors, leveraging insights to refine sales strategies and product positioning. Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align the sales strategy with short and long-term goals, ensuring the product adds value to customers post-sale.
- Revenue Growth: Drive new business development and achieve revenue targets by identifying and capturing opportunities in key verticals such as automotive, retail, entertainment, financial services, and consumer goods. Promote the company's product and brand in the Italian market while fostering tangible new wins and growth opportunities.
- Client Relationships / Account Management: Establish and maintain strong, trusted relationships with decision-makers at global agencies and brands. Effectively communicate the company's value proposition, ROI, and technology. Work with existing customers to ensure product stickiness while driving retention and referrals.
- Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs, monitor sales performance, and implement data-driven strategies to optimize results. Own sales budgeting and forecasting, creating measurable, repeatable, and predictable sales processes.
- Team Development & Management: Own hiring, training, and development of the sales and customer success team in Italy. Initially, operate as a single contributor, then organically build and structure the team as revenue grows.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in sales leadership roles within ad tech and/or martech. Proven ability to build relationships and sell to target buyers and customers. Strong relationships with major media agencies are essential.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets, building long-term relationships with agencies and advertisers. Comfortable working in a startup environment, with a passion for pursuing and closing deals.
- Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of digital advertising, attention metrics, and performance optimization technologies is preferred. Transferable experience from adtech/martech with existing relationships and credibility is highly valuable.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to hire and mentor a small sales team after initial establishment in Italy.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen and ability to align sales initiatives with overall company goals.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics for decision-making and strategy.
- Communication: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Global Perspective: Experience working with international clients and multicultural teams.
