As part of our ambitious expansion plans across Europe, we are seeking an accomplished and strategic Country Head of Sales to spearhead our growth initiatives in Italy. This is a high-impact leadership role within a dynamic and rapidly growing organization in the water and utilities industry.

  • Job Summary
  • The Country Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth, and building a strong market presence in Italy. This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in sales management, market development, and team leadership, particularly within the construction, water, utilities, or related industries.

  • Key Responsibilities
    1. Strategic Leadership
    2. Define and execute the country-level sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Identify key opportunities to expand market share and increase revenue.
    3. Market Development
    4. Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify new business opportunities, understand customer needs, and evaluate competitive activity. Formulate and implement plans to capitalize on these opportunities.
    5. Business Growth
    6. Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, contractors, and distributors, to drive business development and expand the customer base within the water/utilities sector.
    7. Revenue and Performance Management
    8. Deliver against ambitious monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, ensuring the achievement of overall business objectives.
    9. Team Leadership
    10. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team to drive accountability, professional growth, and exceptional results. Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and innovation.
    11. Client Relationship Management
    12. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering tailored solutions to meet their specific needs while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
    13. Pricing and Commercial Strategy
    14. Develop and oversee pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability, ensuring strong market positioning and revenue growth.

  • Qualifications and Experience
    1. Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role (e.g., Country Manager, Sales Director, or equivalent), preferably within the construction, water, utilities, or oil & gas sectors.
    2. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
    3. Experience with piping systems (Ductile Iron or alternatives) is preferred but not essential.
    4. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire sales teams in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
    5. Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    6. Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, coupled with hands-on execution skills.
    7. Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken) is required.
