A leading company in eye care is seeking a Country Franchise Head to drive performance and lead the management team. This role involves shaping market strategy, P&L responsibility, and fostering a high-performing cultural environment. As a Country Franchise Head you will be responsible for driving performance of the business and leading Country Franchise management team, including creation and delivery of annual operating plan for the Franchise. The focus in on delivering short / medium term commitments whilst maximizing sales and profits in the long term for Alcon products, working with the business functions and spending time in the field interfacing with key customers and stakeholders. The role is responsible for developing talent and a strong culture within the country franchise.
In this role, a typical day will include :
Franchise Strategy
Shapes and executes franchise strategy in the market; anticipates change, builds an organization that is capable to lead the development of innovative commercial models
Drives resource reallocation, growth initiatives and resolves issues at a country level
Product portfolio and pipeline management
Informed of portfolio development priorities and timeline
Manages interactions directly with regulatory bodies to maximize portfolio
Franchise Marketing / Demand Generation
Executes marketing plans and programs in alignment with International Marketing guidelines
Resources initiatives to drive demand generation for Focus products
P&L performance accountability
Responsible for driving the P&L growth and delivering targeted profit contribution for the Business Unit
Delivers high quality sales reporting and forecasting
Cross-functional franchise leadership and alignment
Is a member of the Regional Franchise Team meetings and influences regional strategic decisions based on country needs
Provides updates for sales forecast and launch timing in country
Leads the country franchise matrix team; work collaboratively with the Medical Affairs team, Market Access and other Franchise functions; partners with Enabling Functions for the delivery of functional support to the franchise
Go-to-market and sales execution support
Executes GTM model tailoring approach as needed in market
Build strong relationships and advocacy with key customers based on good business acumen and identifying customer needs
Responsible for Country specific advisory board interactions with KOLs
Builds trust-based relationships with customers, patients & stakeholders, supports Alcon market position & reputation. Represents Alcon with industry associations
Lead BU on all people management issues, including selection, retention, and development processes
Creating and leading a high performing team including training and allocation of country field force resources and personnel
Sets the tone of a culture of integrity and ensures legal and ethical conduct, corporate compliance, and adherence to company guidelines and procedures
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON :
Successful track record for delivering P&L through sizeable teams in a sustainable way
Breadth of experience, incl. combination of sales & marketing leadership roles
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing in a matrix environment
Proven experience in growing and developing individuals / teams
A few stretches, versus incremental, assignments in career history
