Job Description:

The Country Finance Manager oversees all financial operations within a specific country, ensuring compliance with local laws and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities include budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow management, and internal controls.

They support strategic decisions by providing financial insights, manage audits, lead the local finance team, and act as a business partner to other departments and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop budgets and forecasts; analyze performance and trends; support strategic decisions with insights.

  • Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial statements; ensure compliance with global standards (IFRS, US GAAP).

  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements; manage audits and regulatory interactions.

  • Treasury & Cash Management: Oversee cash flow, banking, liquidity, and currency risk; optimize working capital.

  • Internal Controls & Risk: Implement robust controls; manage financial and operational risks; promote financial discipline.

  • Strategic & Business Support: Provide financial input for key decisions; evaluate investments, cost-saving, and pricing strategies.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the local finance team; foster cross-functional collaboration and performance culture.

Additional Aspects:

  • Familiarity with ERP tools (Oracle, Excel, Power BI).

  • Cross-functional engagement with HR, Legal, Ops, Sales, and Marketing.

  • Coordination with regional/global finance in a matrix structure.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Financial Expertise: Solid knowledge of accounting standards; experience in FP&A, modeling, and performance tracking.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong grasp of local tax laws and statutory reporting; audit and compliance experience.

  • Strategic Thinking & Risk: Ability to align financial goals with business strategy; establish effective internal controls.

  • Leadership: Proven experience leading finance teams; performance management and development.

  • Communication: Strong written/verbal skills; able to convey financial data clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Business Partnering: Collaborative and solutions-oriented approach; trusted advisor to business leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

  • Preferred: CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent.

  • 7–10+ years’ experience in finance roles, including 3–5 in leadership.

  • Multinational and cross-border experience preferred.

Desirable:

  • High integrity and ethical standards.

  • Adaptability in dynamic environments.

  • Understanding of local labor laws and business culture.
