Job summary

MLA Interim is seeking a Country Compliance Lead for an Italy-based, remote role within a clinical-stage oncology company. You will serve as the go-to compliance adviser for the local business and adapt global ethics and compliance practices to the Italian context.

You will work cross-functionally with commercial, medical, clinical development, finance and HR teams, ensuring launch readiness and ongoing compliance as the business grows in Europe.

Qualifications

• Established life sciences compliance experience, ideally in pharma or biotech.
• Exposure to product launches and pre-launch compliance planning.
• Working knowledge of local industry codes and transparency requirements.
• Ability to operate independently and partner with senior stakeholders.

MLA Interim is working with a clinical-stage oncology company on a newly created compliance role in Italy. The business develops targeted therapies, and is preparing for its first product launches in the European market.

The role

This is a sole-contributor position within the Legal and Compliance function, supporting launch readiness and rapid commercial growth in Italy. You will be the go-to compliance adviser for the local business and will shape how the global ethics and compliance programme operates on the ground.

Key responsibilities:

• Advising commercial, medical, clinical development, finance and HR teams on day-to-day compliance matters
• Adapting and embedding the global ethics and compliance programme at country level
• Managing transparency reporting and other local disclosure obligations
• Building healthcare and corporate compliance controls that enable successful launch and commercialisation
• Contributing to the development of policies, procedures and wider organisational strategy

What you’ll bring
