Job Description: Cost Management Professional

We are seeking an experienced professional responsible for cost management service delivery in construction projects, from initial cost advice to final account settlement.

The first project is located in Lucca, requiring site assistance 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting Business Unit Directors in achieving business objectives.
  • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring cost management deliverables meet customer requirements.
  • Preparing and presenting cost estimates and option studies.
  • Cost planning and cost-in-use studies related to building maintenance.
  • Advising on procurement strategies and preparing bids for services.
  • Evaluating tenders and reporting on them.
  • Valuing completed work and managing payments.
  • Settling final accounts and providing legal and contractual advice.
  • Administering contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent.
  • Producing reports and managing service delivery profitably.
  • Advising on project issues, especially those affecting professional indemnity insurance.

Candidate Profile:

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Significant cost management experience in major construction projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian construction regulations and international standards.
  • Practical procurement and contract strategy knowledge.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Italian.
  • Methodical approach, organizational skills, and adaptability.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Teamwork ability.
  • Based in Lucca or willing to travel 2-3 times a week.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in QS, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
