Prometeia in Bologna is seeking a Cost Controller to join the Planning & Control team within the Administration, Finance and Control function. The role focuses on planning and control activities, with emphasis on production costs and corporate functions, supporting cost monitoring, reporting improvements, and the automation of planning processes.

• Degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in Management Control, Cost Controlling, or FP&A.
• Knowledge of general and industrial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Strong analytical ability, precision, and a methodical approach.
• Data orientation and ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Excellent command of Excel and/or other data analysis tools.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Strong diagnostic skills.
• Problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Additional digital skills and experience with management control tools.

About the Role

Prometeia is seeking a Cost Controller to join the Planning & Control team within the Administration, Finance and Control function in Bologna. The role focuses on planning and control activities, with a specific emphasis on production costs and corporate functions. The position supports the improvement of cost monitoring and reporting processes, as well as the automation and industrialization of Group planning and control activities. It works closely with business stakeholders, cost center managers, Procurement, and Finance to track costs, identify trends, and support efficiency initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze company costs, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and timely.
• Prepare periodic reporting and variance analyses against actuals, budget, forecast, and company targets.
• Contribute to periodic closing, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles.
• Support business stakeholders and cost center managers in tracking relevant costs and identifying trends early.
• Help define corrective actions and countermeasures when cost trends require intervention.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Finance to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
• Take part in transformation, digitalization, and continuous improvement projects, including process automation, reporting automation, data quality, and process mining.

Required Skills
