Position: Corrosion – Materials Engineer

Join our Materials Engineering Department within the Energy Carriers business line. Your activities will include:

1. Providing technical support for Material selection & Corrosion during bidding, proposals, FEEDs, and projects.
2. Reviewing project documentation to identify critical corrosion issues.
3. Evaluating process and design data impacting material selection.
4. Identifying degradation mechanisms and suggesting cost-saving strategies.
5. Calculating corrosion rates using qualified software or tools.
6. Establishing material requirements for critical services and transferring them to relevant disciplines.
7. Issuing engineering documents such as Material Selection Diagrams, Corrosion Control Reports, and Risk Analysis Studies.
8. Participating in design reviews to share corrosion strategies.
9. Coordinating material testing and defining corrosion monitoring philosophies.
10. Supporting the development of the RBI plan and field activities during construction.
11. Leading failure analysis activities and ensuring activities follow latest scientific developments.
12. Promoting involvement in R&D projects related to Material selection & Corrosion.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Corrosion Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Knowledge of material selection, corrosion mechanisms, metallurgy, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with corrosion software like Predict or ECE is preferred.
