Your Moment Awaits.... Belmond is recruiting an Assistant Financial Controller for the Castello di Casole office.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the Accounting department’s activities to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.
  • Represent the Financial Controller in his absence.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Direct and supervise Accounting department employees, including the Income Auditor and Accountant.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in implementing policies, rules, internal controls, and safeguards to ensure profitability and operational control; act as a liaison with external and internal auditors.
  • Coordinate month-end closing, prepare all required journal entries, perform analytical reviews of financial statements, and explain any variances from the budget.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with financial reporting to Corporate Headquarters.
  • Coordinate annual internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor departmental internal controls and implement operating procedures as necessary.
  • Coordinate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Delegate accounting tasks to junior accounting staff.
  • Identify solutions for discrepancies in financial records.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
