Belmond is recruiting an Assistant Financial Controller for the Castello di Casole office.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Accounting department’s activities to ensure efficiency and performance.
  • Represent the Financial Controller in their absence.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Supervise Accounting department staff, including the Income Auditor and Accountant.
  • Implement policies, internal controls, and safeguards to ensure profitability; liaise with auditors.
  • Coordinate month-end closing, prepare journal entries, review financial statements, and explain variances.
  • Assist with financial reporting to Corporate Headquarters.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Monitor internal controls and operating procedures.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Delegate tasks to junior staff.
  • Identify solutions for financial discrepancies.
  • Contribute to team efforts and related tasks as needed.
