General Description of the Role

The Corporate Communications Lead - Maternity Cover role sits within the Global Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability department, based in Campari Group HQ offices in Milan. The Corporate Communications Lead - Maternity Cover will play a key role in driving Campari Group's corporate communications agenda, coordinating external communications activities, reputational initiatives and strategic corporate projects in close collaboration with senior stakeholders. The role will be involved in developing engaging and effective communications activities aimed at strengthening Campari Group's corporate positioning, supporting business priorities and safeguarding the company's reputation across key stakeholder audiences. As part of the maternity cover assignment, the role will also coordinate a number of strategic corporate communications projects, including the ongoing revamping and subsequent go-live of the new Campari Group corporate website. This is a senior individual contributor role, requiring strong project ownership, sound communications judgement and the ability to coordinate stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities and Activities
  • Oversee daily media coverage and media monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate key corporate communications moments, including quarterly financial results, M&A operations and other corporate announcements, ensuring message consistency and stakeholder alignment.
  • Contribute to crisis and issues communications, including message development, stakeholder alignment and timely response coordination.
  • Manage PR and media opportunities involving senior global spokespeople (including the CEO and top management), coordinating global and local corporate media requests, to strengthen Campari Group's reputation and strategic positioning.
  • Develop and fine-tune top management corporate messages, including copywriting, messaging and tone of voice.
  • Manage corporate communications initiatives and projects, among which The Spiritheque and other corporate storytelling platforms.
  • Lead the communications workstream for the revamp and go-live of the new Campari Group corporate website, including content development, editorial coordination, stakeholder alignment and launch readiness.
  • Manage corporate social media activities, contributing to content planning, copywriting and coordination to strengthen Campari Group’s corporate positioning across relevant channels.
  • Develop high-quality corporate communications materials and key assets, including messaging documents, Q&As, press materials, briefing notes and executive communications.
  • Provide consultancy and active support for corporate media activities and events, including corporate sponsorships, institutional events and global brand campaign moments.
  • Manage the external communications budget.
  • Track and report key communications metrics to measure success and reputation, including media coverage sentiment/quality, social media performance, website engagement.
  • Scout and coordinate third-party suppliers and comms agencies.
  • Coordinate and manage media trainings and simulations for selected internal stakeholders.
Key Stakeholder Relationships

Internal: Strong collaboration with Top Management / Executive Team, Investor Relations, Brand Houses, Legal and M&A, Group Functions and Local Markets. External: Media, agencies/suppliers, marketing agencies and universities.

Experience & Education
  • Around 8–10 years years of experience in corporate communications, ideally gained through a combination of PR agency and in-house corporate communications role.
  • Italian and English full working proficiency. Good knowledge of a third language is a plus.
  • Experience in corporate communications, media relations, reputation management and multi-stakeholder project coordination.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in complex, international organisations.

  • Strong editorial judgement, with the ability to translate complex corporate topics into clear, engaging and accurate messages.
  • Solid media sensitivity and understanding of reputational dynamics, including the ability to assess risks, opportunities and stakeholder implications.
  • Crisis communications mindset, with the ability to remain calm under pressure, support rapid message development and coordinate inputs across relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English, with strong attention to tone of voice, accuracy and consistency.
  • Digital and social media savviness, with the ability to adapt corporate messages across channels and audiences.
  • Analytical mindset and confidence in using communications metrics to assess performance, capture learnings and improve outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to react quickly and deliver quality outputs on short timelines.
  • Collaborative and flexible working style, with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions, markets and external partners.
  • Good influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align different perspectives and enable effective decision-making.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability to travel internationally up to 30% of time.
  • The indicative annual gross base salary for this position ranges between €55,000 and €65,000, depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and overall profile. The role is classified under the CCNL Alimentare collective labour agreement - Impiegato. The position might also include a variable compensation component and a benefits package in line with applicable company policies.
