BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Copywriter will be responsible for delivering engaging global copy and brand content across all channels, covering editorial features, social media, e-commerce, newsletters, seasonal storytelling narratives, press releases, CRM initiatives, and other marketing launches (organic and paid). Acting as a guardian of the brand’s tone of voice, the person in this role will help define writing guidelines and maintain excellent standards for both internal and external teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and attention to detail are retained at all times.

What makes up your day

In this role, you will :

  • Lead and deliver editorial copy across all channels, maintaining a strict publishing deadline.
  • Be the leader of the “Storytelling” of Zegna in every communication of the company.
  • Develop all copy for marketing messaging including digital marketing, social media, CRM newsletters, and website customer journeys.
  • Support the creative content team with early-stage campaign preparation and storytelling (e.g. ideation).
  • Create seasonal digital copy for Zegna’s high-profile campaigns, working with our wider Zegna colleagues to ensure narrative alignment.
  • Manage the copy creative process from briefs, brainstorms, and copy creation, through to editing and proofreading of all copy to ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Overall copy project coordination - Responsible for managing creative copy flow and ensuring all publishing tools, calendars, and briefs are up to date, with meticulous attention to detail regarding copy.
  • Ensure all online copy is proofread and fully approved prior to the go-live date, confirming all copy in the staging documents is up to date and accurate.
  • Lead freelance copywriters and support them in day-to-day work and proofreading.

For this role, we’re looking for someone with :

  • Previous experience in a similar role (+4 years) at an agency or high-end brand preferred.
  • University degree in Literature, Fashion, or Advertising.
  • English native speaker; a business knowledge of Italian would be a plus (just for meetings, not for writing).
  • Luxury fashion background, preferably with menswear experience.
  • Work experience ideating, writing, and managing copy across brand communication, especially e-commerce and digital marketing.
  • Keen interest in storytelling and editorials of luxury / fashion.
  • Resilience to pressure and continuous feedback.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive attitude towards working collaboratively with direct and indirect team members.
