A leading Robotics company is seeking a skilled Electrical/Controls Engineer to join their support team in Varese, Italy. You will provide expert troubleshooting and management of customer interactions to ensure efficient production. Candidates should hold a relevant diploma, have industrial experience, and a solid understanding of PLC systems, including Siemens S7/TIA. This position requires some travel within Italy and the EMEA region.

Competenze

• An academic diploma and/or practical experience in electrical/control engineering.
• Industrial experience with knowledge of Siemens S7/TIA and/or Beckhoff Twincat is required.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.

• Provide world-class support including troubleshooting and enhancements for customers.
• Manage periodic site visits, contracts, software documentation, and support.

Responsibilities

• You will support our well-known customers with world-class support including troubleshooting, investigations, enhancements, and optimizations.
• Rotational out-of-hours second-line support is also part of the job to ensure continuous production for our customers, 24 / 7.
• Some customers will be your extended responsibility; you will manage periodic site visits, contracts, software, and documentation.
• You will assist in projects and contribute your expertise, helping with programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC / HMI systems.
• Some work will be located at customer sites within Italy and the EMEA region, so some travelling will be required.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed

• An academic diploma and / or practical experience in electrical / controls engineering.
• Industrial experience with knowledge of Siemens S7 / TIA and / or Beckhoff Twincat.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.
• Experience managing subcontractors delivering electrical installations and control systems.
• Experience with intralogistics and industrial warehouse systems such as conveyors and cranes is a plus.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level or above.
