Hitachi, Ltd. in Rome is seeking a Control System Engineer Intern to support junior project engineering activities in System Integration and RTU.

You will work under the guidance of a senior engineer to deliver quality results on time and within contract specifications. Ideal candidates have an Electrical/Automation/Software background, strong English and Italian (B2/C1), and hands-on knowledge of Python, Shell or JavaScript, SQL databases, and industrial LANs.

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical / Automation / Software Engineering or technical diploma.
• Proficiency in Italian and English (B2/C1).
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Web-based technology.
• Experience with Python, Shell or JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL databases.
• Familiarity with standard industrial LAN networks.
• Understanding of industrial automation.

The opportunity

Our Business Unit Grid Automation in Santa Palomba (Rome) is seeking a Control System Engineer Intern to join as a junior team member, supporting project engineering activities in System Integration solutions and RTU. This role involves delivering work efficiently and in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, all under the guidance of a senior team member.

• Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments;
• Ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improve effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions;
• Ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements;
• Live core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Your background

• Degree in Electrical / Automation / Software Engineering or technical diploma in a similar area;
• Good knowledge of both Italian and English (B2/C1);
• Team working and problem solving skills;
• Knowledge of Web Base technology;
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Shell, Python, Java Script:
• Knowledge of Database Management (SQL, Postgres or other);
• Knowledge of standard and industrial LAN networks;
• Knowledge of industrial automation.

The minimum salary for this internship in the location specified is as follows:

• Starting from: 800 € gross monthly

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
