Baker Hughes in Italy is seeking an Electrical Specialist for field service. You will lead on-site installation, commissioning, and startup activities, and work with customers to troubleshoot and ensure safe, compliant installations.

The role requires 0–2 years in Electrical/Electronic roles in energy/oil and gas, a relevant degree, knowledge of PLCs, generators and VFDs, plus the ability to travel up to 70%. You will prepare technical docs and support internal teams.

• Ability to travel up to 70%, incl. offshore facilities.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics; good English.

As a Field Service Control Specialist, you will play a vital role onsite with our customers. Leading the installation, commissioning, and start-up activities, you will work with customers to troubleshoot issues and ensure safe and compliant installations.

As a Field Service Control Specialist, after an intense Initial Training Program ( ITP Program), you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical direction for activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality
• Overseeing, overhaul, Installations, troubleshooting and commissioning of our rotating equipment’s and products at customer sites
• Preparing and updating technical documentation, plans, daily and weekly briefing reports for customers and internal cross-functional teams
• Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards
• Properly manage company digital tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of material and drawings
• Properly deal with Electrical, Instrumenttion & Control schematics to provide clear instructions while at Customer sites.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will need:

• From 0 to 2 years of experience in an Electrical/Electronic role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar)
• Electric/Electronic Technical degree or Engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of the main control systems as PLC or similar
• Basic knowledge of Industrial Generators (multi-poles) and Electrical Motors.
• Basic knowledge of Electric excitation systems and Variable Frequency Drivers (VFDs)
• To display a strong customer service-orientation mindset, experienced leading customers through tough decisions.
• To be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• To have a valid passport and have good verbal and written English
• Be ready to travel significantly (up to 70%) without geographical restrictions, including offshore facilities

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 35,200 To 48,400. The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
